The Power of Corporate Blog Marketing

Depending solely upon your company’s website to deliver your message is just not enough in todays fast moving information era. When planned and executed by experts, corporate blog marketing can become extremely powerful and gives business owners of all sizes an equal playing field in terms of broadcasting their personal message, ideas, views, thoughts and general industry knowledge to the world.

A corporate blog is very different then a business website in many ways. Your company’s website is basically a virtual storefront. The most effective websites are ones that are graphically pleasing, easy to navigate, have high rankings and very user friendly. Putting to much text on your site may be a good tactic for seo web development (SEO) reasons, but I can promise it will do nothing for your visitors. Keeping your message short, sweet and to the point seems to work best. Lets face it, if your site doesn’t strike a nerve with in the first few seconds, there is a good chance your visitor will leave very quickly. A well designed website should be a company’s #1 marketing tool.

Corporate blogs are different. It’s ok for an owner or someone else with in the company to pour their soul in to their blog entries. Visitors, potential customers want to know what type of person the President, CIO, CEO or CFO is. A personal “Message from the President” posted on ones site is sales fluff and most people know it. Blogging gives business owners the ability to show the world who they really are and what they are all about. You just don’t get that in a website. If you’re a business owner, and you consider yourself to be an expert in your field, then corporate blogging is an absolute must. I will however say that NOT just any blogging will do. Be absolutely sure you consult an expert in the field of Blog Marketing before you give it a shot on your own ( Blog Marketing Experts ). The wrong type of blogging can severely damage rankings and your company’s image.
